Fall 2013 Nails and Makeup Trends

I was wondering what trends and colors are hottest this season, so I looked up some usual suspects to get a good idea. There's quite a few vibrant looks and quite a bit of sparkle going on. There's a little bit for everyone methinks.

• NARS Cosmetics Fall 2013 Collection focuses on amethyst and grey with a fresh peachy pink blush
• Urban Decay Holidays 2013 Collections focus on metallic jewel and purple tones with grey another metals
• Sephora's The Glossy, Inspiration section features deep, electric blue, purple, grey, and black. Statement eyes or statement lips are very hot right now. Gradient lip colors are hot as well.
• Bazaar Magazine's Fall 2013 Makeup Looks include cat eyes, orangey shadows, prune shadows, grey shadows, the full range of red lips, and metallic/shimmering/sparkling eyes.
• Glamour Magazine's NY Fashion Week's Fall 2013 Looks include sparkling metallics on eyes or nails (or both), subtle glitter, and bubble gum pink lips
• Elle Magazine's Hottest Hues for Fall include burgundy, copper, olive/khaki, indigo, and holographic hues.
